  • Nothing

    Broke down in Nothing
on the side of the road.
    Sitting here waiting,
    at least it’s not cold.

    Nobody’s stopping,
    they all drive by.
    Maybe they’re blinded
    by the blue sky.

    I did call for help.
    I had to call twice.
    Because when they answered,
    they weren’t very nice.

    They wanted to know
    where my car was broke..
    I told them “In Nothing.”
    It isn’t a joke.

    I said, “Arizona,
    in Nothing, you see?”
    They finally got it,
    they’re coming for me.

    There’s nothing in Nothing,
    old heaps and a sign.
    To get my car fixed,
    that would be fine.

    My wife, she is bored.
    sitting here in the heat.
    I think she is wilting,
    she’s stuck to the seat.

    I’m sure that we’ll
    be leaving today.
    I’ll text you back
    when we’re on our way.
